How to Write Winning CVs
In Cameroon’s current job market, there is a high rate of underemployment, and each job gets over 2400 applicants. As a result of this increasingly competitive environment, students and new graduates need to develop the tools and skills to craft CVs that can increase their chances of getting inserted into the job market. This training upskilled and empowered students at CITEC for careers in the private and public sectors.

Women Entrepreneurship Training
Cameroonian women entrepreneurs face significant obstacles, including cultural norms that prioritize women's roles in the home, limited finance due to a lack of collateral, and inadequate support systems, which exacerbate discrimination and gender bias. However, women lead 23% of manufacturing SME’s but many women fail to formalize their activities despite having huge business potential. This interactive workshop on the sidelines of Women’s Day taught women from both formal and informal sectors and focused on how to conduct market research with no cost, how to identify your first customers, and how to keep records. Women were provided with manuals and key action points to help them conduct simple market research, record sales and expenses and come up with a marketing plan.

Workshop on African Trade Collaboratory (ATO) and Trade Finance
CEPI trained 21 entrepreneurs on "African Trade Collaboratory (ATO) and Trade Finance". The workshop, held at Prima Finance and Investment plc, aimed to equip participants with the knowledge to expand their businesses through intra-African trade. African Trade Collaboratory, a key tool of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Mr. Henri Kouam, CEPI’s founder, demonstrated how to use the tool to find products, markets, and export regulations, as well as contacts for certification and financing. Participants learned about topics like rules of origin, export documentation, and how to find all relevant export information on one platform.
Entrepreneurs expressed how the training made the AfCFTA accessible to small businesses. Bidoua Bela Bernadette, an infusion manufacturer, noted that the training broke down the process into "clear, manageable steps". Melingui Ambani Gisele, founder of Pesoja Biscuits, said the workshop was the first time she received specific training on using AfCFTA tools to simplify processes and reduce costs. The event highlighted the important role of organizations like CEPI in empowering entrepreneurs to compete on a continental scale.
