The Cameroon Economic Policy Institute (CEPI) of the Henri Kouam Foundation aims to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, nationality, religion, ethnicity, gender, marital status, caring responsibilities, sexual orientation, disability or chronic illness. Bruegel offers several types of positions to scholars, recent graduates, and current students.

Availability of research positions generally corresponds to the beginning of the autumn and spring, but appointments are made throughout the year for periods of varying length.

Besides applications for advertised jobs, CEPI welcomes spontaneous expressions of interest from academic researchers and professionals.

Research Fellows

Are you an experienced professional, community leaders, entreprneurs or a recent PHD Graduate in Economics, Mathematics or social sciences? Come learn and apply your skills in practical research to solve real-world problems..

Free Market Fellowship

This intensive learning experience will equip you with the principles of economic liberty, free market solutions, and results-oriented policy advocacy – rooted in consensus.

Our Free-Market Fellowship is a balanced program that will empower you with the theoretical knowledge of free enterprise while developing the skills and the know-how in key areas.

We only accept applications between 17 February and 17 April every year. Send your CV and Cover letter stating "Free Market Fellowship" in the subject. In your cover letter, define the free markets and state their principles and why you make a good fit for the fellowship.

Internships and Volunteering

Do you want to contribute to Cameroon’s development from any part of the country or across Africa? Volunteer 5 hours per week and learn valuable skills that will advance your career and provide a platform to contribute to Cameroon's development.

Applications are open for volunteers and internships.

5Response Duration

We do our best to let you know about the status of your application within 3-5 weeks of your submission. Spontaneous applications may take longer.

6Note For Research Positions

Applicants for research positions are expected to have a strong academic background in economics or social sciences. A degree is a starting point and we accept applicants from different backgrouns.
